The Latin American vintage coinage are highly underrated and so quickly melted before the more common European counterparts. These coins can be very hard to find and are made from gold harvested in the countries of their country stamping, something most European coins can’t claim. Their lower premium makes it easier to collect too. Too bad they’re not as coveted.

This coin has a classic design & it's more impressive than any of my 1/4 oz coins. Furthermore, this coin shines like new money ; definitely BU grade in my opinion.

There are a lot of nice details to this coin, especially evident on the reverse. It's very historic, too, being minted near the end of the Gold Standard era. Considering how attractive a coin it is, an the limited mintage, the premium is quite low in my opinion.

I bought this coin because I had so little from South America. It's a very nice coin with a low premium. It sparked a new interest. Now I'm on the hunt for more coins from South America.
