A very beautiful design by Stuart Devlin

The kangooro coin series is one of the most attractive bullion coins on the market. The design changes every year and the quality of the minting is way above average. In my private opinion, the 2011 edition of that coin, designed by Dr. Stuart Devlin, is the most beautiful coin in the series. The simplicity of the design, the large depiction of the kangooro with the tail protruding into the border of the coin, and the sun rays in the background are key elements of the design. It is perhaps not an accident that the designers of the more recent Canadian howling wolf coin implemented the very same key features into their design as well.
