2016 China 15 gram Gold Panda BU (Sealed)

I love doing business with Apmex and I snagged this 15g Panda for a great price!

I liked this coin in silver and bought a few BUs a couple years ago. But I didn't have any gold ones. So, I bought 4 of these 2016, 15 gram gold Pandas. After close examination they look good, but the plastic(sealed) packaging is what leads one to believe they are flawed. The capsuled silver Pandas present well, but these gold" sealed in plastic from the peoples bank of China" are more like a Walmart example of a BU coin. Try to imagine BU gold Buffaloes sealed in irregularly cut plastic squares. I am thinking of sending them back, or buy some capsules for them but don't know what that would do to the BU rating. As with anything, it's all in the presentation.

I just received my 1/4 gram gold panda coin. Even though it's in a sealed package, it has multiple scratches. BU? more like BS !!! I've recently opened some other APMEX 20 pc Silver Maple Leafs (BU, BS) and noted 2 with good sized scratches. APMEX is a bit higher price than other companies, I WAS using APMEX for there reputation/ratings. I think I'll shop around.

I love the Panda , its a true symbol of taking your time, and slowing down, just as the Panda does, as it foraging through the forest.

Great value for low over spot price

the coin arrived in good condition, i'm just not happy with the "mint sealed plastic" I paid twenty extra dollars for, since it's all scratched and has a crack in it. I would exchange this but i'm afraid I will get a damaged coin in a non-damaged seal.

Very nice pure gold coin I got close to spot, so I can't complain. Good birthday gift to myself. However, there are some marks on the backside of the coin, on the mirror finish near the temple. Otherwise, I would have given a perfect rating. I am overseas and can't really do anything about it. I do recommend this product regardless of the sensitive mirror finish marks on the back, as this is to be expected I suppose with 24k mirror finish coins, and as it's value will increase more so than other gold bullion.

I really like this Chinese panda coins, you can get them at a reasonable price when they first come out and they always appreciate in value within the first year since there is great demand for them worldwide.
