This is my first pre-thirty-three gold piece and it's just a magnificent little specimen. It's an 1882 and in really great condition to my untrained eye.

My first true gold coin and I am very pleased. It looks amazing for an XF coin and I absolutely cannot wait to get another pre 33 American gold coin. Keep up the quality APMEX!

Very nice Pre-1933 gold coin. About the size of a Jefferson nickel but you can definitely feel the weight of the gold.

This coin went way beyond my expectations! No expert here, but I couldn't find wear with my 10 power loupe. I'm sure someone could show me problems with this coin, but I don't see them. Was this XF in a vault for 140 years? Will I buy again? Yes.

I received a beautiful piece of U.S. History in great condition. I asked APMEX for an older date coin and boy did they deliver! Will treasure this coin for many years to come. Thank you APMEX team.

Great coin edging toward AU nice luster and honest wear. Higher mintage but condition outweighs the more common strike. Great Job customer service. this will be a nice edition to my Eagles.

Purchased 10 coins, XF random years. Condition was clearly XF or better on 8, while 2 had a strange color shift and some kind of residue. They may have been cleaned, maybe just old and grimy, but not affecting surface finish, other than color. Cleaned off easily with steel wool (joking). Used ammonia and soft tooth brush. Next purchase will be the $10 Gold. Not looking for AU or mint grades; am not a coin collector, as I simply love to handle these lovely gold coins (gently). And better than money in a 0.5% savings account.
