I bought a couple of these rolls to say I have them. I love they had a bit of Silver in them. Now since time has passed they have gained in value. Such a great piece of history and worth more then face so I'll keep them til I trade them. Buy the dips.

Saw these on sale and picked them up. Turned out to be a solid purchase. Always thought the war nickels were cool. Being that they never originally were intended to be made of any silver! With such a limited run, they are valuable to me.

Yes, silver nickels are heavy, but how often do you get basically spot priced silver from a reputable company like Apmex? They all come in half rolls of $1.00 face each and can be liquidated just about anywhere. Again, zero premium = spot. Buy the dips!

War Nickels are a great way to add small-denomination silver to your stack. Premiums are low (currently zero), and it is the smallest-content silver coin from the U.S. Mint. If you ever think we'll be in a position to barter or make purchases using the silver content in Constitutional coinage, this gives additional flexibility. Plus, I enjoy the interesting history of these coins. I bought $20 face value (400 coins) from APMEX over the course of several months. Quality was as advertised (avg circ). A few slicks, and a few really nice ones. Only one was not a War Nickel. I notified customer service, and they immediately sent a replacement.

After reading some reviews I was worried, but all are war nickels from 1942-1945. 1 even looked like AU quality!
