1 oz Silver Shield Round - Pieces of Eight

Love it! this is a beautiful coin

This is a very detailed (obverse) silver round, that I think is attractive but, would have been so much better in a higher relief. Also, the reverse carries on the 'Pieces of Eight' theme but, is significantly less detailed. Finally, I think the detail would really pop if there was some contrast to the finish, proof-like surfaces, as well as matte finishes on both sides.

Arrrgh this be like the peices of eight me pappy used to wear around his neck before it was replaced with an albatross.

Love the details and the whole look of this round. Will definitely be getting more in the future. Highly recommend.

i buy these and put them in small pirate treasure chests as gifts. the kids love it when i hide the chests and give them clues to find them. there own little treasure hunt.

They look like plastic until you handle them. I would be happier if I’d bought about twenty or so. Still, intricate design. I could stare at this and study it for a long time.

I like pirates. I live silver. However, I don't like this round. The detail is poor and they have a dull aluminum looking finish. Maybe I've become spoiled after buying ultra HD 2 oz rounds. I do own other one oz rounds that are attractive - this one is not.

Love the Round! Great detail and concept with the 1/8 fractional markings for "Pieces of eight". Beautiful round, does not disappoint.

The detail on this round is even more stunning in person. I bought 5 to keep in capsules because I love my silver shiny. Bought one extra to keep out and tone. I saw that online and I think that will be awesome. So glad apmex got these back in stock. I'll definitely be buying some more of these again.

The details are fantastic. My favorite generic silver round. Very fun.
