The German, Italian and other European mints and suppliers always seemed to be just over my budget. I thought it was the shipping and other fees for transferring silver and gold from country to country. I always bought my 5 and 10oz bars from local mints in the USA. With price drop I have ordered multiple bars from foreign mints and have enjoyed the size, design and Assay cards that come with the bars. US mints should supply Assay cards with their bars. Most of my US 5 and 10oz bars purchased over the years were paperless.

There are only a few brands I will purchase and Heraeus is one of those. Trusted name, beautiful bars, serialized. Another plus is that APMEX double packaged these bars. The come in a plastic bag but APMEX goes beyond and puts them in another bubble wrap. Perfection.

This is the first ten-ounce bar I've purchased and I was extremely happy with the quality and beauty of the design. I will likely buy more soon.
