Friedrich III was the only son of William I and was German Emperor and King of Prussia in 1888 for only 99 days! He succeeded his father on March 9, 1888 and reigned until June 15, 1888 when he died suffering from cancer of the larynx.

A couple contact marks noted on the obverse, which I'm not really happy with. Otherwise a nice XF-AU.
