This is beautiful coin. Since the MCMLXXXVI is the first year of issue for the gold eagle, I simply had to have one.

Buying a birth year coin for each of the kids and grand kids. So far all have arrived in mint condition along with the display box and storage cap. These are a great remembrance and investment.

The coin is a perfect Christmas Gift, I also purchased your wood display box with this item... ! 100% A-1. Thank You ! ! !

I did a trade with apmex and to my surprise I got this coin. Had no idea that this was the first year that the gold eagle was issued. I love gold eagles and this is the best piece of gold I have ever had. I thought there was something wrong at first because I did not see a traditional year as I have never had a gold eagle with roman numerals. A quick call to customer service and to my surprise this was the first year issue.

Always a great experience.Fast,Honest,Great products.

I am interested in having a complete collection. This is the ·1 design. It all met my expectations

Coin came in very good condition. Has very small light smudge on it near the her arm, but otherwise it is in great shape for the first coin issued in 1986, almost 30 years ago.

This 1oz. Gold American Eagle completes my 1986 denomination set. I always count on my items from Apmex to be as described, if not better, and with a very reasonable price. Apmex always delivers!

Beautiful coin. This was my first one ounce gold coin, and I was amazed. The luster in this piece is flawless. Holding pure gold in ones hand is great feeling . Super fast shipping . Ordered it Tuesday got it Thursday .
