1986-S 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle (w/Box & COA)

SHINY. FIRST YEAR. GREAT PACKAGING. It’s perfect, you’ll love it! If the chance arises, PURCHASE THIS COIN! absolutely immaculate coin especially for the age. Unopened, well secured in the coin holder. This is the quality that should be expected of the US Mint.

I’m not only happy to have the first year silver eagles were minted, and as a proof, but the burgundy case these older proofs come in is more than stunning. I miss these old red-purply velvet boxes, that looked really grand, versus the new dark navy blue velvet cases

I've got a couple of BU grade of the '86, but this one is just sooooo dang pretty.

Item was as advertised in great condition. Fast and secure shipping.

Received as advertised. Great condition for 1986.

Very Nice.

very good specimen

I purchased this to fill in my collection of Silver Proof American Eagles. The box, COA, and velvet case were all in awesome condition. The coin has no toning or milk spotting. The image of Liberty seems a bit soft compared to modern examples, but perhaps that's how they looked way back then. The coin has a small nick / scrape on Liberty's outstretched arm. A little disappointing, but what can one expect for a coin that's probably been pretty well picked through for 34 years? All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.

Bought unslabbed Proof Silver Eagles from the 80's and 90's expecting issues like toning. Pleased to find no issues and no toning.

Exceeded me expectations, even the cardboard boxes they came in were in pristine condition. I would have been happy if I received 2020 coins in this condition. Thanks APMEX!
