I love kookaburras.

I've been collecting kooks for quite some time now. I like the fact that they have much lower mintages than other popular bullion coins. Each year has a different design and they come in a variety of sizes. I'm sure that in the near future, a complete set will demand a very high premium.

APMEX service/quality

I purchase bullion coins for two reasons. One: For designs and quality that please me. -- Some bring history to mind, others romance and adventure. One gets satisfaction looking at, say, a beautiful Britannia or an oh so cheerful Kookaburra...and the minting of these coins is excellent. Two: I place a small percentage of my investment portfolio in gold and silver bullion as a backstop against a possible time when the economy turns to ruin and I may need to use the bullion to pay for essentials. There is a feeling of security from this, weather that is misplaced, I'm not sure. -- Paladin
