2013 1 oz Gold Buffalo MS-69 NGC (Early Releases)

With a mintage of only 16,908, this 1/2 oz Buffalo is one of the scarcest coins of the series. Produced only in 2008, fractional Gold Buffalos were only available as proofs or with a special burnished finish. This coin is one of the latter.

Brilliant Coin!

I was between buying a St. Gauden's Double Eagle and a mint-state Buffalo. I asked my parents for their opinion on which to go for first and they both suggested the Buffalo; I definitely wasn't disappointed when it finally arrived in the mail! I already liked the design from the older nickels. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the added level of detail on the gold coins. It also looks really nice sitting next to my proof Buffalo coins!
