I presented each of my parents with one of these Iconic coins for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I was fortunate that APMEX had the coins in stock, and the fact that the mints 50th anniversary coincided with their 50th, made it a befitting gift to commemorate the occasion. My only lament is that I was not able to procure the 1967 Reissue Krugerrand to accompany the 2017's.

The title is a reference to lethal weapon where these coins were a sub plot, the main villain invites a failed hench man to step onto plastic before shooting him dead. No hench men were harmed in the making of these coins

Yes there are fancier coins out there. But you gotta have a Kruggerand. They're Old School. More durable too than other coins.

Hadn't bought Krugs in a long time. Finally talked myself into treating myself to 10 of these jewels in the mint tube! Golden hue with hint of copper is beautiful; even more so than ones I bought many years ago since they were all 25-30 year old coins then. Privy mark is great and fun to check out through magnifying glass for easiest reading. Seemed like significant anniversary for the most significant of all the gold bullion coins.

The 50th anniversary Privy (and mintage of only 100,000 coins, worldwide) attracted me to the '17 Krugerrand right away. It's so much more beautiful in the hand than any picture. I don't often invest in 1oz. Gold, but I'm glad to have this treasure of a coin! APMEX always packs & ships well. The coin came flawless in the flip, and immediately into it's capsule.

Gold Krugerrands always enhance a collection, and specialty coins especially do. This coin is exactly what it showed in advertisement, and the 50 year celebration is a "got-to-have" coin.
