90% Silver Standing Liberty Quarters 40-Coin Roll (w/Dates)

Full date Standing Liberty Quarters are highly desirable because the dates on the early years (1916-1924) wore off quickly making full date coins even more collectible. The date was recessed in 1925 to help solve the problem.

What would you expect

I ordered 2 rolls (80 coins total). They were all 1924-1930. No mint marks (All Philadelphia) ranging from AG-EF. But what can you expect, these coins are known to be worn out. I must say not one coin had a worn out date they were pretty much in pretty good shape. I think the 2 rolls I bought are enough not looking to risk for more.

It was as advertised

When you order a roll of coins where the selling premium is "with dates" you need to set your expectation rather low. These quarters were the workhorses of American currency in it's time so most show this history. I didn't expect anything above Good and got what I expected. All coins had dates as advertised. I do though now have a roll (with dates) of one of my favorite coins.

Legible dates

I bought this roll specifically because of the dates being legible. All the dates were legible, so Im happy. All were within 1925-1930, which only makes sense given the price. I got to fill in my collection a bit with common dates. If your buying for silver scrap value, your better off with silver washington's obviously.

Without Dates

Won't do that again. SKU says "with dates" but I got 6 slicks and 8 where 90+% of the date was gone.

First Time Buyer

Decided to try a $10 fv roll of standing lab's from APMEX. I use several online dealers, hunting for the sale every week. APMEX routinely has the hard to find items I need, and the shipping time is unbeatable! Quality exceeded my expectations, with 5 heavily toned coins grading vf+. All dates were clear and legible, with several coins grading xf/au. Most dates were from 25-30's, but that's fine with me. Will order again!

5-Star First Order!

My first order from Apmex and I'm very pleased with these beautiful and comparatively scarce silver quarters. Fast shipping too. Take the more negative reviews here with a grain of salt. Expect the vast majority of your roll to be lower grade (AG-VG) SLQs. 37 of mine fell in that range. All should have dates, but expect a few to have less than full dates. You probably won't get any pre-1925 quarters. They carry a significant premium and lower grade pre-25 dates are virtually non-existent because of how quickly the dates wore off. And because of wear, the weight will be notably less than a roll of Washington bullion.

Liberty Quarters 1920's with dates

Bizarre roll with many 1925 1926 1927 1928 1929 1930, some dates couldn't be read without a jeweler's loupe. A few mint marks but i'd prefer other routes to obtaining silver.

Better research

I have always wanted to add a roll of SL quarters to my silver. Got this roll of SL quarters from AMPEX. What I didn't expect was they were very thin and one half ounce lite of the 7.15 approx., weight advertised. I didn't buy these for numismatic value, but intrinsic and maybe a little historic conversation. I figured maybe a few grams of wear short, but not 16 grams. My fault for not researching better.

Standing Liberty Quaters

As described most of them were in average conditions with few VG.My only complaint is that I received 4 partial or dateless SLQ. Other than that it was great buy highly recommended

Luck of the draw

This product is more or less of a grab bag. I'm not displeased with it, but there was nothing exceptional. Some of the coins were in VG to Fine condition, there were only three where the "readable date" pushed the limit of readability. All common dates, 1925-1930, two mint marks. I replaced a couple I had with better quality ones from this roll, no new dates though. If you are getting this to fill your book, this is probably no the best way to go about it. Reasonable value for the price.
